Q: Norma, congratulations on the CURO launch! Can you tell us how this collaboration with Thomas Franks came about?

Thank you! The CURO brand was created by Thomas Franks, who recognised a real need for something different in the independent school sector, a more bespoke, high-end service cleaning solution built around care, creativity, and operational excellence.

​

Kanso FM was invited to deliver that vision. Our shared values, service excellence, innovation, and doing the right thing for our people and clients, made this a natural fit. CURO is now powered by Kanso's operational strength, national infrastructure, and five-star service culture.​

Q: Sustainability is a big theme. How is CURO addressing that?

Sustainability is part of our DNA, in our infancy Kanso developed amazing systems to ensure we a paperless environment. Through CURO, we use eco-friendly products for daily cleaning and specialist solutions for deep cleans, alongside energy-efficient equipment and sustainable consumables We're committed to our annual carbon reduction, Net Zero by 2040, and B Corp certification by 2026. For schools, this means helping them achieve their own ESG goals without compromising on service quality.

Q: What role does leadership play in CURO’s success?

Leadership is critical. At CURO, we ensure visible, empowered on-site supervision, supported by a national management structure that’s responsive, accountable, and hands-on.

Personally, as Managing Director, I remain close to our delivery teams and client partnerships to ensure we stay true to our promises. Together with our fantastic CURO leadership team, we are committed to delivering the very best service every single day.
